ADEGEYE INAUGURATES INDEPENDENT CAMPAIGN GROUP

The All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives Candidate for Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency, Hon. Risikat Ajoke Adegeye inaugurated her independent campaign committee. 

Apex Leader Alhaji Adegbola, welcomed and appreciated everyone who stood by the party candidate during the primary election and those that understand true politics for having the maturity that when two to seven persons are contesting for a position that it is only one person that will emerge as the party candidate, he extolled the spirit of sportsmanship of the aspirants who have so far rallied round the party's candidates for House of Representatives and Assembly, he cited and commended the likes of Hon. Babatunde Ibrahim Sanusi and Hon. Ayodele Ahmed who were in the contest with Adegeye before the primary election, and Hon. Ola Western, Hon. Olusegun Idris who quickly congratulated and joined hands with the party candidate for State Assembly, he appreciated them and made it known to other aspirants that the door is widely opened for anyone willing to work with the party's candidates in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency. He enjoined them all to see the election as work for all and not work for the party's candidates and their team alone. 

Alhaji Adegbola clarified that the Independent Campaign Team is mainly for Hon. Risikat Ajoke Adegeye and they are to work concurrently with the Party's Campaign Team that will be set up by the party, that people should not see them as overriding the party constitutional right. He further explained that the motive behind setting up the Independent Campaign Group is to complement the party efforts towards ensuring victory for the party in the general elections that this is how it always run in every political electioneering process, he said every candidate have the right to set up his or her campaign committee and that should not in anyway undermine the party's campaign structure. 

He reiterated that all the candidates of APC in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency are committed to reckon with former political office holders just like what the party Governorship Candidate in person of Mr. Babajide Sanwo Olu is displaying at the state level. He also advised that people should learn how to mentor and lay a positive legacy for their followers, assist people for the sake of a day like this.

He advised those governors who want to impose their successors in their various States to come to Lagos State and learn from the Captain of African Politics Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu the Jagaban himself, that Jagaban is a true leader whose doors are always open to his followers, that he has built his tentacles across Nigeria and beyond. 

He challenged the party members to be up and doing in other for the party to regain her lost glory.

The highlight of the inauguration was the announcement of Hon. Tunde Sanussi and Hon. Ayodele Ahmed who both contested the primary with Hon. Adegeye as Co-Director General of the Independent Campaign Group.  Others include the former Vice Chairmen, Former Councilors, and political heavyweights in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency.

Alhaji Adegbola stated the determination of the APC candidates to recognize and involve former political office holders from 1999 till date who were hitherto relegated, that this is the time for total inclusiveness. 

Hon. Sei Ipinlaye, Secretary to Amuwo Odofin LGA read out the names of the committee, while Alhaji Adewuni inaugurated the Independent Campaign Group. 

 Alhaji Adegbola commended the efforts of some political leaders in Amuwo who stood by Hon. Risikat Ajoke Adegeye before and after the primary election despite the divided house witnessed by the apex body in Amuwo/Oriade before the primary election, he appreciated the efforts of some leaders like Baba Oladejo, Hon. Ifemade, Mama Adesanya,  the Secretary to the apex body Mr. Tunde Ajayi aka King of Boys, Alhaji Oseni, Chief Okesina, Alhaji Adewuni, and others, he appreciated them for being patriotic and committed to the struggle. 

He pleaded with everyone to work for the party house of assembly candidate Mrs. Mojisola Alli-Macaulay, he as well appreciated the spirit of sportsmanship of Hon. Ola Folorunso for being a true party man despite the fact that he was one of first ears that heard about the emergence of the party Candidate at Burdilion, that he cherished his doggedness. 

He urged the party members to copy the pattern of Jehovah Witness by adopting the door to door, house to house, and friend to friends strategy instead of the normal habit of dance and pass campaign style. 

King of Boys,  challenged the women to see themselves as lucky and most favoured because the party has given them a woman who is capable and the only way they can be relevant is to work very well by making sure that Hon. Adegeye and other APC candidates emerge winners come February 2019.

Hon. Risikat Ajoke Adegeye thanked everyone for being with her, she promised never to disappoint them.
