NEW WEEK MESSAGE THE INSPIRATION IS IN US ~HON RISIKAT AJOKE ADEGEYE

Image
It’s easy to forget what an amazing gift life really is. Our lives are nothing but a cosmic blink. Even our seemingly all-encompassing world is just tiny blue dot circling an average sized star spiraling around a galaxy of 200-400 billion stars, which itself is just one galaxy among billions more. Yet for one brief moment, we get to experience the wonders of existence, of consciousness. Having a positive outlook on life is a crucial part of finding inspiration. In the paragraph above, did you feel inspired reading about the vastness of our universe and our unique place within it, or did you feel overwhelmed and depressed at the insignificance of it all? Our brains are wired to find things we’re looking for – if you’re always cynical or waiting for things to go wrong, then your life will reflect that. On the other hand, having a positive outlook on life will bring you joy and provide you with inspiration when you least expect it. So let's go into the World t...

STILL ON THE OPEN LETTER TO HIS EXCELLENCY

Image
I must be quick to correct some mis giving about the letter i wrote, because some people who could not read between the lines are associating many interpretation to it. I have received many calls and messages in my messenger on the issues. By far the one that got me worried was the instant reaction of the chief of staff to the governor, Edward Onoja, Kingsley Fanwo and others. My letter was to challenge the governor to take care of some loose end and was not targeted at anybody. But when you write on issues, you make inferences to back your case base on what you hear on the street and gossips at the corner of the street of which many people cannot own up in querying. My fear is how APC will win elections in 2019 and insha Allah, we shall win all our elections with pride, but we must tidy up some loose end.I remember vividly, the recall of Dino saga. Virtually, all the appointees assured the governor that, Dino's recall was a done deal and that He was a gonna. The rest is history!Di...

Image

You are trying seriously though, but events around you are covering it up.No doubt about your good intentions for the state. You have a good spirit, a mien that hypnotises, and an awesome personality.Your blue print for the development of the s...

I'm unaware of any Mopamuro House of Assembly primary election in our great African Democratic Congress (ADC)

Image
I have been receiving numerous calls from party members and supporters, following the recent event which took place during the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Primary election scheduled for yesterday, 5th October 2018. Thus it is imperative to reveal the unadulterated truth and to make our points clear. To start with there is no primary election in Mopamuro local government as election material arrived very late around 8:00pm, although party faithfuls have been in their various wards as early as possible to exercise their franchise, thus election was postponed. However, it surprises me to be awaken by a very disheartening news that Hon. Shola Gaddafi have rigged election in the favour of his brother in-law one mr Oluseyi Solomon overnight with the help of the local government ADC chairman and vice chairman, thus depriving party members their constitutional right of direct primary as against the laid down guidelines of our National Party. “Our position is that no election took place i...

Striking a Work-life balance: Follow these tips to get all your work done by 5pm

Let me tell you a story, one you might have heard before. A King told his horseman that if he could ride on his horse and cover as much land area as he likes, then he would give him the area of land he has covered. Excited and enthusiastic, the horseman jumped onto his horse and rode as fast as possible to cover as much land area as he could. He kept on riding and riding, whipping the horse to go as fast as possible. He didn’t stop when he was hungry or tired, until he was exhausted and dying. He then asked himself “Why did I push myself so hard to cover so much land area? Now I am dying and I only need a very small area to bury myself”. This story is similar with the journey of our life. We push very hard every day to make more money, to gain recognition. We neglect our health and time with our family. Ask yourself, are you working to live or you’re living to work? Do you spend more time with co-workers instead of family? Is your health suffering because you work long hours? Are you e...

Five Reasons Saraki Won't Get PDP's Presidential Ticket

Image
At a public dialogue in Abuja organised by #NotTooYoungToRun movement on Thursday, Senate President Bukola Saraki formally announced his intention to run for the President in 2019 on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).By this announcement, he put paid to the speculations about his political ambition and perhaps made known the reason for his recent peripatetic “consultations” across the country. But it is unlikely he will win the PDP presidential ticket much less succeed Muhammadu Buhari in May 2019, and here are a few reasons why. 1) SARAKI MORE FEARED THAN LOVED Believe it or not, any man whose residence a siege is laid to, regardless of the motive, is considered a threat. And whatever we fear we are always wary of, if not seek a means to destroy. Though the siege happened to Saraki in the twilight of his membership in the APC, it’s an event that speaks volumes of how power-brokers across the spectrum of political partiesperceive him.  The PDP only condemned the Niger...

VICTOR ADEKUNLE DAVID: GOOD RIDDANCE TO BAD RUBBISH

Image
The Critical issues to be considered on the resignation and defection of Mr. Victor Adekunle David the former P.A to Hon. Karimi Sunday are as stated here under. I want everyone to know that the Office of Honourable Karimi and several of his associates saw the signs but chose to wait and see how it plays out. He was appointed as a Federal Service Grade Level 08 Step 12 officer with the National Assembly Commission at the behest of Honourable Sunday Karimi. Honourable Karimi out of benevolence provided free accommodation for his staff at his own cost, which Victor Adekunle David and his brother, Prince Sayo Dada enjoyed without gratitude. There has been pressure from several quarters to discontinue his service due to the blackmail of his father and other members of his family, Hon. Karimi has always played it low, as they are inconsequential and as a good Christian he never wanted to visit the sin of the father on him.  Since 2016, Mr. Victor Adekunle David has nursed the idea to co...

Go and get your PVC: Nakoss President University of Jos charge Nakossites

Image
George Jean Nathan said and I quote “Bad leaders are elected by good citizens who do not vote” Voting is the expression of ourselves and our civic responsibility to our state and the country, a vote is like a rifle (firearm), it usefulness depends upon the character of the user. It has become a necessity for me as the Nakoss President of this noble Institution (University of Jos) to charge all Nakossites on the Plateau to make use of the short semester break and the few days remaining to get their Permanent Voters Card.  I have come to a realization that politics is too serious a matter to be left to the politicians. So getting  involved  as students and deciding who is suitable to Lead is way to go. A man without a vote is a man without a security. And in our Nigeria today, we need our PVC as our protection because This was not the Nigeria our fathers fought for. However, always remember that just because you do not take an interest in politics, does not mean politics wo...

It Will Be Disastrous, If PDP Fails To Give Me The Ticket - Atiku

Image
The mouthpiece of Atiku believes it might be detrimental to deny his principal of the PDP's presidential ticket. Segun Showunmi, spokesman of the Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organisation, has revealed that it would be disastrous if the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) fails to field his principal as its candidate in the 2019 presidential election. Showunmi said Atiku deserved the presidential ticket of the PDP because he had been deeply involved in the Nigeria’s political system and understands the peculiarity of the nation’s democracy very good. According to him, Atiku had built consensus, and is a nationalist that has the ears of the people, adding that he remained the only person who could give President Buhari a run for his money. Speaking with Daily Sun on why Nigerians should queue behind Atiku in 2019, Showunmi said,“There are many Nigerians but he has unique political qualities that distinguished him from others.  Many of the aspirants cannot generate exciting emotionsoutside of ...
